Title IX Technical Assistance Project (T9TAP)

Health, Safety, and Well-being Policy and Advocacy Campus Safety and Violence Prevention Sexual and Relationship Violence Prevention, Education, and Response AVP or "Number Two" Mid-Level Senior Level VP for Student Affairs
Allison Tombros Korman Jennifer E. Henkle

In May 2020, the Department of Education passed the long-awaited final Title IX rule. Colleges and universities are working furiously to interpret the rule and understand the implications for implementation by the August 14, 2020 deadline. The Title IX Technical Assistance Project (T9TAP) is a service available through Culture of Respect that provides individualized support and technical assistance in implementing the new Title IX rule. T9TAP also helps colleges and universities think beyond simple compliance to more thoughtful, intentional efforts around sexual violence prevention and response through our newly-releasedTitle IX Guide: Going Above and Beyond Compliance.

T9TAP includes:

  • 2 hours of video or phone consultation and technical assistance regarding the new Title IX rule and its implications for the campus (this may be used via 2, one-hour calls)
  • 1 hour of additional technical assistance on a related topic (e.g. sexual violence prevention best practices; transitioning prevention education to a virtual space; respondent services and supports, etc.)
  • The newly-releasedTitle IX Guide: Going Above and Beyond Compliance. This guide provides a series of questions that: help institutions assess compliance with key aspects of the new Title IX rule; identify the source of this information in the rule; and most importantly, prompt institutions to examine key questions, considerations, and evidence-based practices that help institutions strengthen their prevention of and response to sexual violence, and create policies, programs, and procedures that help foster a culture of respect.
