Powerful Partnerships: A Shared Responsibility for Learning

In response to the need for deeper learning to prepare college graduates for the work force, AAHE (American Association for Higher Education), ACPA, and NASPA established a joint task force to examine learning in 1988. The task force authored this report, which outlines 10 principles of learning and how to strengthen it on our campuses through partnerships across academic and student affairs divisions. Each principle is illustrated by a set of exemplary cooperative practices between student and academic affairs in order to promote higher student achievement.
