The recipient of this award will be the Region IV-West nominee for the Scott Goodnight Award for Outstanding Performance as a Dean awarded by NASPA at the national level. (Dean refers to any title that denotes the lead student affairs officer on campus).
The recipient of this award will be the Region IV-West nominee for the Scott Goodnight Award for Outstanding Performance as a Dean awarded by NASPA at the national level. (*Dean refers to any title that denotes the lead student affairs officer on campus). This award is presented to an individual who serves as the home institution's Senior Student Affairs Officer and has had a significant contribution to Student Affairs. Nomiees will be reviewed based on the following criteria:
- Serves as home institution's chief student affairs officer
- Seen as collaborative, effective, and inspirational by a range of campus constituencies
- Strategic and innovative in providing programs and services to students
- High level of competency in developing staff
- Active Individual NASPA membership
- Exemplary managerial and administrative skills
- Extended length of service to student affais profession and as Chief Student Affairs Officer
- Leadership in greater campus and community affairs
- Significant contributions to literature about student affairs and higher education
- Significant contributions to professional associations
