The mission of the Student Career Development Knowledge Community is a community wherein Student Affairs professionals can develop best practices for supporting the career development of students at colleges and universities.

The Knowledge Community for Student Career Development wishes to recognize staff or a collaboration of offices/departments for their innovative and transformational programs at the campus level that encourage career readiness and development. The student affairs practitioners have demonstrated a commitment to intentionally help students connect their co-curricular experiences with career exploration and planning. This program has made a significant impact on the career development of students at their institution.

Award Criteria

This award is available to student affairs practitioners, at any level, or an office/department collaboration, that has demonstrated a strong commitment to intentionally help students connect their co-curricular experiences with career exploration and planning.  Commitment in the form of programming, research, and advising will be considered for this award.

  • Recipient(s) must be members of NASPA.
  • Nominators must be members of the Student Career Development KC.
  • One-page nomination letter.
  • One letter of recommendation/support.
  • Supplemental documents to include additional letters of recommendation/support, institutional reports, etc.
