Call for Applications: Journal of Student Affairs Research and Practice Editorial Board (2026-2029 Term)

Supporting the Profession Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice Division AVP or "Number Two" Faculty Mid-Level Senior Level VP for Student Affairs

APPLICATION SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 1, 2025

The vision of the Journal of Student Affairs Research and Practice (JSARP) is to publish the most rigorous, relevant, and well-respected research and practice making a difference in student affairs practice. JSARP is currently accepting applications for Editorial Board members for the 2026–2029 term. Interested applicants are invited to apply and should have expertise in both research and practice.

JSARP is a publication of NASPA, the leading voice of student affairs. The journal publishes high-quality and rigorous scholarship that can be used by NASPA members and the broader community to transform daily practice, research, and the field of higher education.

Application Requirements:

  • Complete Editorial Board application

  • Curriculum vitae or résumé

  • Cover letter describing the applicant’s research interests, qualifications, methodological expertise, experiences with the peer review process, and demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion.


Editorial Board membership will be balanced based on the following criteria:

  • Areas of content and methodological expertise

  • Evidence of Juried Publications

  • Demonstrated Commitment to Equity and Inclusion

  • Experience (years in the field)

  • Regional Representation

  • Terminal Degree


Selected board members will be notified in December 2025. 

Applications will not be considered complete without uploading a cover letter and a CV or résumé in PDF format.
