Hometown: My hometown is Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Graduate Institution: I currently attend Henderson State University

Degree you are working towards? I am currently obtaining a Master of Science (MS) In Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Undergraduate Institution? I attended Henderson State University for my undergraduate degree. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.

Why did you choose your graduate institution? I decided to go to Henderson State University for graduate school because Henderson is a small university. I wanted to attend a school where I could develop a personal relationship with not only my fellow classmates, but the professors, faculty, and staff members. There are roughly 3200 students who attend Henderson State. We all have an incredible bond with each other. Henderson is a higher institution for learning and also a close-knit family. Henderson State University is the school with the heart.

Why did you want to go to graduate school? I wanted to go to graduate school for a number of reasons. A graduate degree is necessary for my desired professional field. Also a graduate degree would open up a wider array of career opportunities for me. The most important reason for going to graduate school was to continue my education. I have always had a passion for learning new information.

What area(s) of Student Affairs interest you most?  Currently I am the Greek Life & Student Organization Graduate Assistant for Henderson State University. The areas that interest me the most would include: Greek Life, Career Services, Student Activities/ Student Government, Leadership Development, Diversity and Inclusion, & Multicultural Affairs. I am interested in those specific areas because they are all areas that will ultimately help individuals. It energizes me being a part of a students growing process.  Developing individuals so that they can ultimately become a better them is very rewarding to me.

What are your hobbies? My hobbies include: hanging out with friends and family. Traveling, cooking, meeting new people, and listening to music.

If you could take a year off from work/school what would you do? If I could take a year off from school, I would love to travel to different countries. I specifically would travel to countries where there is a lot of water. I love the scenery of water. Water is very relaxing.

What is your dream job? My dream job is to ultimately become president or chancellor of a higher learning institution.

The best gift you have ever received? The best that I ever received was my car. When I graduated from High school my parents purchased a car. This was the best gift because I love to go out and explore things and travel.

What you would like to be remembered for? I hope to leave a legacy of a person that was passionate about helping others. My mother and father have always instilled in me that when you help others, blessings will come to you. I have passion to help others.  I also hope to be remembered for my wonderful spirit.
