Keep Up the Good Work, IV-West: An Update on NASPA Foundation Giving

Region IV-W Region IV-W
January 2, 2019

As you may know, members of NASPA IV- West are a generous group.  This has been confirmed by the fact that gifts to the foundation have reached 49% of our Region’s annual goal toward the NASPA Foundation only halfway through the fiscal year!  With a goal of 100 donors we are happy to say that we have achieved 66% of this goal.  I would venture to say that with our own Timothy Alvarez as a Pillar of the Profession, giving to the NASPA Foundation is a high priority for many members.  This advances NASPA’s priority to support further research and scholarship in Student Affairs.

We are grateful to the four professionals who shared “Why I Give” messages leading up to Giving Tuesday in November:  Lori White, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Washington University in St. Louis; Veronica Riepe, Director, Student Involvement, University of Nebraska; Sylvia Scott, Director, Off-Campus Student Services, University of Arkansas; and Kassey Steele, Director, Student Life at Tulsa Community College.  These individuals spoke of their commitment to our profession and to the future of NASPA.

We thank each member who participated in our Annual Day of Giving, who gave at our regional conference in Wichita, who give in honor of Dr. Alvarez, and who will continue to give to the future of NASPA. You all make a difference in our profession and in the future of our organization.
