The Mid-Level Professionals Institute is designed to meet the needs of student affairs professionals at the mid-level. As a Pre-Conference session, the Mid-Level Institute (MLI) provides an intensive professional development experience that broadens participants’ perspectives on higher education issues, renews commitment to the profession and explores creative leadership strategies. MLI is intended for professionals with a minimum of five years full-time experience and supervisory, budget and/or programming responsibilities for a department. The Institute model includes senior-level faculty-led teams, case studies, small group discussions and personal reflection time.
This year’s presenters are Dr. Sara Mata, NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) Program Coordinator, University of Oklahoma, Dr. O. Gilbert Brown Professor and Director for the Student Affairs and Higher Education program at Missouri State; Derek Jackson Assistant Vice President of Student Life and Director of Housing and Residence Life at Kansas State University.
The final application deadline is September 28, 2018.
The Institute fee is $285 for members of the NASPA IV-W Region and $385 for non-members. Fees include all Institute materials, and the following meals: lunch and dinner on October 22, breakfast and lunch on October 23.
