As today’s students are increasingly diverse across multiple identities, we have a great opportunity and responsibility to ensure that future student affairs educators represent the communities they serve. The NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) is NASPA’s flagship initiative that empowers student affairs professionals to embrace this responsibility.
The mission of NUFP is to increase the number of historically disenfranchised and underrepresented professionals in student affairs and/or higher education, including but not limited to those of racial and ethnic-minority backgrounds; those having a disability; and those identifying as LGBTQ. Students and mentors apply as a pair. If accepted into the program, students are then known as Fellows and have opportunities for scholarships, on-campus mentorship, and professional development events.
The application deadline is October 15th, https://apps.naspa.org/cfp/evt_frm_user.cfm?event_id=2564. For any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Lauren Wilson, Region IV-W NUFP Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
