WISA Book Club
Womxn in Student Affairs
March 11, 2015
The official countdown until NASPA 2015 Opening Ceremony leaves us with less than 11 days before the Annual Conference kicks off. The Women in Student Affairs Knowledge Community is very excited about the opportunities ahead to connect with colleagues, attend sessions, and continue to build a stronger community for higher education professionals.
This year, in an effort to continually offer more opportunities for learning at the NASPA Annual Conference, a variety of Book Club Sessions (http://conference2015.naspa.org/blog/announcing-the-naspa-book-club) have been launched. WISA is very excited to be sponsoring one of these Book Club Sessions focused on the Confidence Code by Katty Kay & Claire Shipman. This session will focus learning and discussion around a recently highlighted trend of diminished confidence in women, concentrating on what causes it and how we can move current generations of women forward through the development of confidence.
In preparation for this Book Club Session, participants are encouraged to read the Confidence Code, but in respect for the busy lives of others, this session is open to all participants even if they haven’t read the book.
