Understanding Campus Obligations for Student-to-Student Sexual Harassment (Legal Links Vol 1, Iss 1)

Health, Safety, and Well-being Sexual and Relationship Violence Prevention, Education, and Response New Professional
January 17, 2014 Neal H. Hutchens, J.D., Ph.D. Lynn Rossi Scott, J.D. Brian A. Sponsler, Ed.D. Jeffrey C. Sun

This Legal Links issue on student-to-student sexual harassment presents an accessible description of the legal obligations and considerations to assist colleges and universities in establishing policies, procedures, and training modules. Drawing on the Office of Civil Rights documents (e.g., 2011 Dear Colleague Letter, the 2001 Revised Guidance, and the Montana Resolution), this issue adopts an action-plan approach so institutions may take immediate and effective steps to eliminate harassing conduct, prevent its occurrence, and address its effects.

This issue of Legal Links is available complimentary to all NASPA members.
