Join us for this live briefing, focused on understanding the nuances and complexities within Muslim communities on campus, internal community, and external systemic barriers to supporting survivors of sexual violence, and how professionals who work with Muslim survivors can best meet their needs.
Learning Outcomes
Participants who attend this webinar will be able to:
- articulate a greater landscape of the American Muslim context, specific to the college enviroment;
- identify the unique challenges facing Muslim survivors, especially with respect to reporting;
- identify institutional barriers to reporting for Muslim survivors – both within the Muslim community as well as the greater mainstream community; and
- practice implementing the knowledge gained in the webinar within case studies, as a means to assess their learning and areas of need.
