Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Division
Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice Division
The purpose of the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Division is to raise the visibility of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice issues in the Association, the student affairs profession, and higher education at large. As such, the Division's role is to support and help advance NASPA's commitment to equity and justice.
The Division fulfills its purpose by collaborating with NASPA’s Board of Directors, the Vice President for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and the various constituent groups that makeup NASPA’s membership.
Message from the Division Chair
Welcome to the NASPA Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Division web page! College and university campuses across the country are grappling with upheavals in local, state, and national politics. In this environment, our commitment to equity and inclusion is more critical than ever at NASPA, on our campuses, and around the world. We invite all NASPA members to work with the Division to evaluate and support the organization’s commitment to equity and inclusion of those with diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
As the JEDI Division Director, I serve on the NASPA Board of Directors and work closely with NASPA Vice President for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Monica Nixon. If you would like to inform us of equity and inclusion efforts that you or others are advancing as NASPA members, please contact Dr. Nixon at mnixon@naspa.org.
