The National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) unites college womxn and gender non-conforming students from across the nation for a transformative experience in leadership development, networking, and inspiration.

Tailored for undergraduate students who identify as women or outside the gender binary, NCCWSL provides a welcoming and empowering space to build leadership skills, connect with peers, and find inspiration to drive change.

Through engaging workshops and hands-on activities, NCCWSL challenges and inspires attendees to make meaningful impacts on their campuses and communities long after the conference ends. Join us to become part of a dynamic network of changemakers ready to lead the way.

The NCCWSL provides opportunities to connect with other college women leaders to bring light to common challenges and help build supportive networks through which to share ideas and solutions. This space highlights the importance of gathering as people identifying as women to understand the impact of gender on the following learning outcomes:

The National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) is seeking dynamic speakers, facilitators,educators and students to submit proposals for our 2025 conference! This gathering of college women leaders provides a unique opportunity to foster connections, share knowledge, and inspire action.

At NCCWSL, we recognize the power of bringing together individuals who identify as women to explore the ways gender influences leadership, advocacy, career pathways, and personal growth. Through engaging workshops, interactive discussions, and skill-building sessions, we invite presenters to contribute to an experience that empowers, educates, and equips the next generation of leaders.

We encourage proposals that align with our core learning outcomes and provide meaningful, action-oriented takeaways for attendees. Help us create an inspiring and transformative experience at the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders and submit a proposal today!

 

 

Registration

 

Registration for the event is based on room occupancy. Attendees can choose from Single Occupancy, Double Occupancy, or Commuter registration options.

  • Double Occupancy: If you would like to be matched with a roommate for a lower rate, you may select this option during registration. 
  • Single Occupancy: For those who prefer their own room, the single occupancy rate applies.
  • Commuter: This option is for attendees who do not need overnight accommodations.

Please note that attendees registering for double occupancy can either request a specific roommate during the registration process or be assigned a roommate at random.

Advisor & Student Affairs Professional Registration

Advisors or student affairs professionals can register up to fifteen students at a time through the "register a colleague" function. For a step-by-step guide on how to register on behalf of your students, please click here. Follow these steps to use the “register a colleague” option:

  1. First, each student will need to create a free NASPA account and make sure to select their institution (it needs to match your institution for the function to work).
  2. After they finish making their accounts and selecting their institution, you, as their advisor, will then be able to go in and use the “register a colleague” option.
  3. You can now pay for their registrations via your account.
Each student must have a NASPA account to ensure accurate name badge information and to capture any accessibility or dietary needs. If a student does not have a NASPA account, they can create a free one at https://www.naspa.org/join/become-a-naspa-member.

Traveling to NCCWSL

By Air

It is possible to get to College Park via public transportation from the airports although it does involve several changes along the way.

From BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

  1. Find and follow signage to the MARC train system
  2. Take the Penn Line train (toward Washington, DC); get off at Union Station.
  3. Transfer to the Metrorail system.
  4. Take the Red Line train (toward Glenmont); transfer at the Fort Totten station to the Green Line train (toward Greenbelt); get off at the College Park/U of MD station.
  5. The university's Shuttle-UM buses pick up university-bound passengers on the EAST side of the Metrorail station. Shuttle-UM service between the College Park Station (Green line) and the center of campus is very frequent - every 8 minutes during peak hours on most weekdays - is offered year-round, and is open to everyone - no ID required.
  6. Get off the Shuttle-UM at the "M" (or second) stop for the office of Undergraduate Admissions. Cross the street and walk south toward Mitchell Building.

From Reagan National Airport (DCA)

  1. Using Metro (map available at https://www.wmata.com/schedules/maps/upload/2022-System-Map.pdf):
    While the Yellow Line is reopening on Sunday, May 7, 2023, please note that the Yellow Line will operate between Huntington to Mt. Vernon Square only.
    To travel between Mt. Vernon Square and Greenbelt, please use the Green Line.
    Take the Yellow Line train from Reagan Airport station towards Greenbelt; transfer at the Mt. Vernon Square station to the Green Line train (toward Greenbelt); get off at the College Park/U of MD station.
  2. The university's Shuttle-UM buses pick up university-bound passengers on the EAST side of the metrorail station. Shuttle-UM service between the College Park Station (Green line) and the center of campus is very frequent - every 8 minutes during peak hours on most weekdays - is offered year-round, and is open to everyone - no ID required.

  2. The university's Shuttle-UM buses pick up university-bound passengers on the EAST side of the Metrorail station. Shuttle-UM service between the College Park Station (Green line) and the center of campus is very frequent - every 8 minutes during peak hours on most weekdays - is offered year-round, and is open to everyone - no ID required.

By Car

All campus locations have a physical address that can conveniently guide you via any GPS enabled device. We recommend that you utilize this address when navigating to find the most favorable route from your location. Heading south on I-95 we recommend the following route:

  1. Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway East (I-495)
  2. I-95 South will merge to the left, joining I-495
  3. Take Exit 23 "201 Kenilworth Avenue Bladensburg Greenbelt"
  4. Proceed south on 201 in the direction of "Greenbelt Road and Bladensburg"
  5. At second light, turn right onto Campus Drive
  6. Proceed approximately two miles to U.S. Route 1
  7. Turn left onto U.S. Route 1
  8. Follow signs to turn right into the Welcome Desk parking area
