Division/Group Event Supporting the Profession New Professionals and Graduate Students

Would you like to meet other aspiring student affairs professionals from across the country? Does participating in a five-day leadership institute aimed at developing your leadership skills, enhancing your cultural awareness, and preparing you for a career in student affairs sound enticing? If so, you are encouraged to apply to be a part of the Dungy Leadership Institute (DLI). DLI is held annually on various college campuses and offers 40 NUFP Fellows the unique opportunity to network with their peers and current student affairs administrators serving as institute faculty. DLI provides an in-depth leadership development experience and prepares Fellows for graduate work in student affairs and higher education. With the cost of food, travel, and lodging covered, there is no reason for any Fellow to miss out on this life changing experience! DLI is an application-based experience. All Fellows will have to apply and be accepted to attend the institute. Learning Outcomes As a result of attending DLI, Fellows will be able to demonstrate: knowledge of how their personal identities and histories have impacted their lives and their ability to work with others an understanding of the multiple paths to working in Student Affairs an ability to find ethical resolutions to critical issues in Student Affairs requiste writing, research, and speaking skills for entry into graduate school professional networking skills cultural competency skills that are integral to the Student Affairs profession
