About

Colleges and universities have an obligation to prepare students to be active, engaged, and informed members of our democracy. With the current rhetoric around electoral processes causing concern for many, and the changing landscape caused by COVID-19, it is more important than ever that institutions are prepared to communicate updates and effective practices for eligible students, faculty and staff to be able to exercise their right to vote this fall. In providing a space for growth and sharing, NASPA has teamed up with the nonpartisan ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge’s Higher Education Presidents’ Council to provide guidance and support in navigating election 2020.

Learning Outcomes:
By attending this discussion, senior leaders will be able to:

  • identify tools and resources to support nonpartisan electoral engagement;
  • draft contingency plans in the event of a campus model change (hybrid, in-person, virtual); and
  • connect with colleagues and resources to support their institution’s voter engagement initiatives.

Please note: This FREE offering is limited to campus presidents, provosts, vice presidents for student affairs, AVPs, and deans of students (and the equivalent for all of these roles).
