The DKC envisions a universally accessible collegiate experience for all individuals.
Through our collective expertise on disability and accessibility, we seek to:
- Share resources and provide educational opportunities that reframe disability as a valued aspect of diversity.
- Advocate for equitable practices and policies that foster participation for individuals with disabilities.
- Create professional development opportunities and produce scholarly articles surrounding disability identity, accessibility, equity and inclusion.

Volunteers are critical to the continued success of the Disability Knowledge Community. We are constantly on the lookout for new and exciting content from members to create resources and engage our members in educaiton and outreach opportunties.
Regional Leadership Opportunities: We are seeking Regional reps to lead DKC initiatives and share resources about disability inclusion in higher education. Knowledge Community leaders are NASPA volunteers who have generously devoted their time to their Knowledge Community. Chairs are elected by the Knowledge Community members while Regional representatives are selected from within the Region. Additional roles are selected by the Knowledge Community.
